Summary: We recently departed this unit and throughout our stay we were met with frustration and disappointment during our stay. What was intended to be a peaceful and restorative trip for our family quickly became highly stressful due to a series of preventable issues and the complete absence of property management support. Upon arrival, we were locked out due to a malfunctioning door—stranded with our two young children and several hundred dollars’ worth of groceries. After attempting to contact the owner for two and a half hours, we had no choice but to pack up all of our belongings, relocate to a hotel, unpack, request additional refrigerators for our food, and later repack and return once the issue was resolved. While we appreciate the partial refund to offset that disruption, the overall experience fell far short of what any guest should reasonably expect. Unfortunately, the problems did not stop there. We dealt with a loud water alarm going off and other ongoing maintenance issues. My husband to access the breaker box at least four times during our stay. These were not minor inconveniences—they disrupted our time and added significant stress. Even more concerning, we were expected to take responsibility for these issues and to meet with service personnel during what was supposed to be personal, family time. I wanted to love our stay but unfortunately it fell very short of expectations. A dedicated property manager would have made a huge difference in making any stay better.
